Chelsea FC expects to complete the signing of Cameroon
international, Samuel Eto’o, from Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala on a
free transfer in the next 24 hours.

Chelsea to Complete Samuel Eto’o's Move in the Next 24 Hours.
The 32-year-old will reunite with his former boss at Inter Milan Jose Mourinho on completion of a one-year deal.
Chelsea boss, Mourinho, made his move for the four-time African
Footballer of the Year after seeing two bids rejected by Manchester
United for England international Wayne Rooney.
Earlier this week, it emerged Rooney was not prepared to force any
move to Stamford Bridge by handing in a formal transfer request which
put paid to Chelsea’s hope of landing the striker.
Eto’o moved from Milan, where he won the 2010 European Champions
League under Mourinho, to Anzhi and then became the highest paid player
in the world, reportedly earning £167,825 per week in 2011.
The striker started his professional career at Real Madrid but was
loaned out to Leganes and Real Mallorca before making a permanent move
to Mallorca in 1999.
Eto’o, who won the 2002 African Nations Cup and the 2000 Sydney
Olympic with Cameroon, scored over 100 goals in five seasons with
Barcelona after joining the Catalans in 2004.
At the Camp Nou, he won the Champions League twice in 2006 and 2009
and became the second player to have ever scored in two separate
Champions League finals.
He joined Inter from Barcelona in 2009 for £40m in a player-plus-cash
deal which saw Zlatan Ibrahimovich move the other way round and went on
to win the Champions League in his first season under Mourinho.
He is also Cameroon’s all-time leading scorer and third most capped player, with 55 goals from 112 games.
